Birds, birds and more birds!

Had my first craft fair of the year at the weekend in Stamford which went really well, I always love getting out and meeting customers after weeks beavering away making everything - the most popular items were the union jack coasters which I sold out of! I wasn't sure how well they'd sell as I hadn't done them at a craft fair before so I was really pleased - that's my week ahead sorted - painting lots more union jacks! And more birds as they always prove popular, here's a few of my feathered friends which I have at last got round to adding to my website.

Thought I'd add some American birds to my collection of ceramic coasters for my Etsy online shop: http://www.themosaicgarden.etsy.com/.
Here's an Eastern Bluebird, Northern Cardinal, American Goldfinch and a Ruby-throated Hummingbird.

Hello and welcome to my blog written by me Carolyn Graham about my business 'The Mosaic Garden' which I will try to keep regularly updated even though I haven't a clue about social networking and to be honest I'm a bit daunted by the prospect and I'm wondering what on earth I'm going to write to make it interesting! Anyway I thought I'd start by showing you where I work, here's my 2 sheds one where I cut up all the mosaic tiles and where I make a lot of mess - glass flying everywhere and the other shed where I make the mosaics and do my painting - a bit less messy but that I have to share with a few mice who are rather partial to eating my sketch pads!

This is where I make my mosaic pictures of beach huts, lighthouse, boats and all sorts of other mosaic items - mirrors, letters, picture frames, jewellery, cards and also my popular handpainted ceramic coasters of birds, flowers, patterns and seasidey designs.
I'm working on my website - http://www.themosaicgarden.co.uk/ so in the meantime my work is available to buy from - www.folksy.com/shops/themosaicgarden and also http://www.themosaicgarden.etsy.com/
